Hi
How about riding out to Boroughbridge and see how we get on? If its OK then we could continue round to Newby Hall and Ripon. If its a bit wild then we can cut it short and come back via Bishop Monkton or Marton cum Grafton
Mileage would be upwards from 20 depending on options taken – but would at least be flat.

Given that is likely to be blowy as it was today. My suggestion would be a ride out to Beningborough then back either by the same way or via Boroughbridge – Led by Richard

Well the forecast for Sunday looks pretty rubbish. If its turns out to be not as bad as predicted then we could do a shortish ride up to Boroughbridge etc
If the forecast is correct and its sheeting down and blowing a gale – we could do an even shorter ride to Wetherspoons for an All Day Breakfast and unlimited refill coffee. – Led by Ian

A circular ride from Settle that heads into the Trough of Bowland on some really quiet lanes for about 35 miles with about 750m. of climbing.
Meet in the Whitefriars Car Park in Settle at 10:00am. This is located just past the Square on the left hand side before the railway bridge and next to the petrol station & Co-Op (Postcode:BD24 9JD)
The ride would be weather dependent and so messages will be posted on Facebook, here and by email the night before (by 8pm) if the ride is cancelled.

Well there is a change to the planned ride this weekend. We were due to do a ride to Beningbrough and use the new ferry to Nun Monkton – however, they have not managed to get this started yet so will have to postpone that one.
By way of compensation I was going to take you to the park, Roundhay Park, cafe stop would be Lakeside Cafe (remember your bike locks J) and returning over the newly re-opened Linton Bridge. Probably about 35 miles – mostly flat on the way back after coffee.

We went out to Stean last week, so maybe Dales this weekend?
Easy Ride
This week is Katies Birthday ride out to Coxwold and Byland Abbey calling in at Boroughbridge, Helperby, Easingwold and Aldwark Bridge – not necessarily in that order.
This should be about 52 miles – assuming we don’t get lost! Most of it is reasonably flat, but there would be a few miles round Coxwold which would be hilly. Cafe stop at Byland Abbey or Coxwold or Easingwold – or all three!
This would at our normal Sunday speed, so we would get back later than usual – probably mid afternoon.
See you there! – Led by Ian
