Club rides – Sunday 12th November

We are moving to the winter start time from Sunday 12th November!

9:30 start at the car park!

After last weeks hills – how about a flat ride to Arkendale, Marton cum Grafton, Dunsforth, Boroughbridge (cafe) for about 11:00 and back.

Probably around 25 miles depending on the route back – but pretty flat.

See you there!

Hello Medium Group. Looks sunny this Sunday. What about tackling Greenhow? Out to Pateley via Markington, brimham Rocks Cottages, Wilshill. Up Greenhow, brew at Toft Gate Barn Cafe near the top. Back Duck Street, Menwith Hill, Hampsthwaite, Ripley, Brearton, Scotton. 47 miles big lump in the middle. Any takers?

Team Easy Does Storm Brian

Hi

How about riding out to Boroughbridge and see how we get on? If its OK then we could continue round to Newby Hall and Ripon. If its a bit wild then we can cut it short and come back via Bishop Monkton or Marton cum Grafton

Mileage would be upwards from 20 depending on options taken – but would at least be flat.

– Led by Ian

Steady Ride
Given that is likely to be blowy as it was today. My suggestion would be a ride out to Beningborough then back either by the same way or via Boroughbridge – Led by Richard

Medium Ride

Fast Ride
A bit windy, probably some rain, decide route in car park!

Club Rides – Sunday October 1st

Easy Ride
Well the forecast for Sunday looks pretty rubbish. If its turns out to be not as bad as predicted then we could do a shortish ride up to Boroughbridge etc

If the forecast is correct and its sheeting down and blowing a gale – we could do an even shorter ride to Wetherspoons for an All Day Breakfast and unlimited refill coffee. – Led by Ian

Steady Ride
Assuming it’s not pouring with rain. Am happy to lead a steady group ride out to say Benningborough and back. Usual time and place. – Led by Richard

Medium Ride
45 miles with a lump in the middle. Otley Chevin (the easy way up) Brew at the cheerful chilli, back via Thorner, Linton, Wetherby.  – Led by Alex

Roundhay Park

Well there is a change to the planned ride this weekend. We were due to do a ride to Beningbrough and use the new ferry to Nun Monkton – however, they have not managed to get this started yet so will have to postpone that one.

By way of compensation I was going to take you to the park, Roundhay Park, cafe stop would be Lakeside Cafe (remember your bike locks J) and returning over the newly re-opened Linton Bridge. Probably about 35 miles – mostly flat on the way back after coffee.

Ride out to Norwood edge

Medium Ride
Weather looks half decent on Sunday what about the long put off ride to Bolton Abbey? 58miles hilly. Brew at Cav Pav.– Led by Alex
